Taytor Tots Birthday Week!

Wahoo!  We are getting ready to PARTAY around this place, we are so excited for Tays B-day on Wednesday.  She has a special birthday, as she gets to share her day with Grandpa Karl.  Happy Birthday Grandpa Karl!!

Ok, there will be more about the Birthday happenings next time, after they have actually happened... We've gotten a bit behind here.  Haha I mean to say that I, me, myself and I - have gotten behind.  We had a great Thanksgiving with Codys family.  Except poor little Wyatt got pretty sick.  He didn't eat or drink much for days and he woke up every night throwing up.  We ended up having to leave Grandma and Grandpas house early to take him to InstaCare.  They were so helpful.  Not.  Nope definitely not.  They had no idea what was wrong with him.  Tested him for the flu, which was negative, and then said we could do a chest x-ray to check his lungs.  Nothing was wrong with his lungs!  Oh man, we just left with a "Sorry I'm not sure about this one."  Sweet.  Well luckily the poor little man started getting better the next day and I'm happy to report that he's completely back to his crazy, mischief making, rough housing little self.

The kids had a blast in Declo painting and feeding Grandpas cows!  Tay would be in heaven if we lived on a farm.  Or land of any sort that allowed us animals.  Some day baby girl, some day I promise!

Other things you missed while I was slacking off... Wyatt falling in the toilet, playing in the sandbox in our snow clothes, letting Wyatt think he was the designated Pooper Scooper and getting ready for Christmas by painting Halloween masks, Tay had her very first Santa encounter and she wasn't scared AT ALL she loved him and was thrilled beyond belief!  Haha we sound like a bunch of crazies don't we?!  Well.... we kinda are :)

Oh yeah.... And this.....

Yep :)  We are due in July and all are super excited!!  Yahoo!!

It's Christmas!!!! Oh wait... never mind.... It's Thanksgiving!!!

So if you were to drive past, or come into, my house you would say "Oh, you are one of those people."  Indeed I am!  Not usually but this year I am! All our Christmas decorations are up (inside and out) and that includes our Christmas tree.   Which little miss Taytor Tot decorated for us.  We did it on Saturday and it's been like this ever since, I am kind of considering leaving it like this, I think she did a great job and find it kinda sweet.

This week has also included a lot of quick trips outside to play in the snow.  It's a lot of work to get them ready to go out and then they get cold pretty fast and we are usually back in within a half hour, but they have fun while we are out there!

And yes, she is wearing a snowsuit and a sunhat.  This girl definitely acts her age, she loves getting dressed and picking stuff out and don't you dare tell her she can't wear something!

We have got to buy this kid some snow pants.  That is on the agenda for tomorrow while we are in Pocatello. For now he is borrowing Tays gloves and boots and wearing 3 pairs of pants when we go outside.

On Saturday we had a family campout.  We watched a movie, had hotdogs and marshmallows and slept on the floor in the living room by the fireplace.  It was a hit, so unfortunately for the backs of us old people, I think we shall be doing this more often.

I also opened up an Etsy shop the last couple of weeks, don't plan to be crazy with it but if we sell a little bit here and there anything we make will be going towards our house (We will be having an update on that at the end of the year!).  We have had our first 2 sales, haha we are zooming right along ;)    Our shop is etsy.com/shop/AliAndTheLittles and as of right now we are selling laminated File Folder Games and Pre School Kits.  We plan to add more stuff to it (keeping it geared to kids) but as of now that is what we have.

Ok this week I scored a lot of awesome deals at the grocery store because of Thanksgiving sales but this was the only stuff that I used actual coupons for.  Full retail price for this was $57.68.  Taylor and I used our coupons and paid $16, we saved $41.68!

We got 12 cans of fruit (yes, one is missing, we already ate it!) and 20 cans of vegetables.
The fruit is normally $2.39 a can and we paid $0.91
The vegetables are normally $1.40 and we got them for $0.25

It Happened...

I am sitting in front of the fireplace eating a nice bowl of ice cream and silently cursing how cold it is outside.  It turned cold (it is literally 4 degrees right now) and snowed and I am having a personal pity party 'cause I hate winter.  Don't get me wrong I love Thanksgiving and Christmas and all that goes along with the Holidays.  All but the freezing, freezing cold and the terrible, awful winter driving that is :)

We celebrated the first day of tiny little itty bitty snowflakes by donning what snow clothes we have (you may notice that Tay is decked out in full winter gear and Wyatt is really lacking in some gear and also wearing borrowed gear, we are working on it!) and heading outside to play on the swingset.  Isn't that what everyone does when it snows?  Goes outside to swing and slide?  Oh... I thought that was a thing that people did.... darn, we had it all wrong!

These next pictures are the goofs themselves getting ready for church.  And before anyone gets to worried.... No, Wyatt did not wear the pink cowgirl hat to church.  Whew!  Close call there.  However, Taylor did indeed wear the necklaces and subsequently lost them in nursery.

Taylor and I, along with Aunt Brianne, have recently restarted a workout program called T25 starring our good friend Shaun T.  For clarification purposes, he is not really our friend, but we love him so much at our house that we talk about him like he is.  In fact as we were excercising the other day Tay said "I have idea.  Let's go to Shaun T's house. We could just exercise there".  So maybe next week we shall go on a road trip.... :) haha  Here she is working it out!  And people, she really does it with me, it is adorable!  She does all the moves, jumps around, punches, has to put her shoes on and complains that she will have to shower 'cause boy she is sure getting sweaty.

Taylor puts on this sparkly "princess" dress pretty much every single day.  She had to don it along with her sunglasses so she could sit and watch some football with Daddy.

Don't forget about me!!

This weeks haul came from our grocery store yet again.  And I must say, I was pretty stoked about this one, it was awesome!!!  My children are Allen's to the core, meaning chocolate addiction is fully functioning already at this point in their lives :)   Ok, had I foolishly paid full price for this little pile it would have cost me $62.50 (stinking chocolate chips are expensive!).  I only paid, with tax, $14.85.  That's a savings of $47.65!  Yeah Man!  Here's what we got...

12 bags of Hershey's Choc chips and Mini Chips, Reeses Chips, Heath Toffee Bits  $47  paid $14.85!
3   Covergirl Eyeshadow Singles $7.50 paid $0!

The Kiddos Version of "Vacation"

Okay I promise this is the last post for the week.  For my sake as well as yours :)  I thought I should share what the babies did on their "vacation" as well.  There were too many cute pictures not to post.  They went to the Pumpkin Walk, helped mow the lawn, and got to "drive" the grocery cart.  Check it out!

Halloween Fun!

After we got home from Mexico we decided to just stay in Newton one more day and have Halloween there with all the grandmas, grandpas, cousins, and aunts and uncles.  We were Peter Pan and gang.  Admittedly the Peter Pan and Wendy were a bit sketchy (Peter Pan more so... a hum... cody...) but we had an adorable Captain Hook and Tinkerbell to make up for it!

This was the first year either of them have ever been trick or treating and they LOVED it!  They were giggling and running around and shoving candy in their mouth as fast as they could.  It was awesome :).   Until Wyatt had an epic meltdown in the truck and then Taylor had one at Grandma Mary's house.  Ahhh let the good times roll.  Can't blame a kid though; lots of excitement, lots of sugar, lots of craziness, and not much nap time.
